Patent Attorney
Mr. Lee, a mechanical engineering major, practiced as a patent agent and assisted the clients such as Samsung SDS and etc. to obtain patents for their inventions.
Subsequent to passing the Korean bar, as an attorney-at-law he has been specializing in intellectual property and bankruptcy while formerly heading Patents/Trademarks/Trade Secrets Litigation Team in one of the largest law firm in Korea for more than 10 years.
In 2008, the Seoul Bankruptcy Court awarded him a lifetime appointment to the select list of approved bankruptcy trustees. The Court recognizes his indispensable role as a trustee since a significant amount of bankrupt companies own intellectual property rights, including patents, design rights, trademark rights, copyrights and various related rights. Since 2008, Mr. Lee has handled more than 98 bankruptcy cases. As management of IP rights in bankruptcy proceedings requires deep understanding of the law as well as the technologies themselves, Mr. Lee provides an essential role, one vital for the successful closing of bankruptcies involving firms with valuable IP rights.
He is also fluent in English.
